Terms and conditions

  • Enrolment: All students must enrol and complete the necessary paperwork and registration process to attend the XFAcademy film school. The enrolment process includes agreeing to the terms and conditions set forth in this document.
  • Fees: All fees for attending the film school must be paid in full before the start of each term. Payment plans may be available upon request. No refunds will be given for missed classes or withdrawal from the program after the start of the term. The cost per month is £85 and if there is a sibling a reduced fee of £55 for the second child applies.
  • The first month of joining is a reduced rate of 50% = £42.50 and serves as a taster period before deciding to carry on at the full rate.
  • A four week notice period is required for termination of membership and must be given via email to xfacademy_official@hotmail.com. The time of receipt (not sending) shall be the time of commencement of the notice period.
  • Payment is due on the first of each month starting September - June. Payment must be made by Direct Debit mandate. If payment of membership fees or tuition fees is not made in full for any reason we reserve the right to suspend your membership and to exclude your child from the Academy until payment is made.
  • Attendance: Regular attendance is expected of all students enrolled in the film school. If a student is absent for more than two classes without prior approval from the instructor, the student may be dismissed from the program.
  • Behaviour: All students are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner while attending the film school. Any behaviour that is deemed inappropriate or disruptive may result in disciplinary action, up too and including dismissal from the program.
  • Bullying, harassment, abuse or other inappropriate behaviour by yourself, your child or guests is strictly forbidden and will result in expulsion and such other legal remedies as may be deemed appropriate.
  • Smoking of cigarettes or vapes and/or bringing or consumption of alcohol and the use or being under the influence of illegal substances is not permitted anywhere in our Academies.
  • Curriculum: The film school will provide a curriculum that covers all aspects of filmmaking, including screenwriting, directing, producing, cinematography, and editing. The curriculum may be modified at any time by the school, but all changes will be communicated to students in advance.
  • Equipment: All equipment used in the film school, including cameras, lights, and editing software, is the property of the school and may only be used under the supervision of a qualified instructor. Any damage to equipment caused by a student's negligence may result in the student being held liable for the cost of repairs or replacement.
  • Intellectual Property: All work created by students while attending the film school is the intellectual property of the student, but the school reserves the right to use any student work for promotional or educational purposes. Any commercial use of student work will require the student's permission and may result in compensation to the student.
  • We reserve the right to use any individual or group photographs or movie shots of your child for press or promotional purposes.
  • Liability: The XFAcademy film school assumes no liability for any injury, illness, or loss of property suffered by students while attending classes or participating in any school-related activity, except to the extent that such liability cannot be excluded or limited by law.
  • Termination: The XFAcademy film school reserves the right to terminate the enrolment of any student at any time for any reason, with or without cause.
  • In order to avoid disturbing classes, you and your child are requested to arrive in good time. Entrance to classes may be barred to anyone arriving more than 15 minutes late
  • We reserve the right to change, alter and amend these rules from time to time.
  • Governing Law: These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
